About The Event
The inaugural Heart 4 the Wounded Conference, held in 2013 at the CSIR Convention Centre in Pretoria, South Africa, marked the beginning of a transformative event. United under the theme of “making a difference,” the conference set out to create a lasting impact. Throughout the years, including subsequent gatherings in 2015, 2017, and 2019 at The Maslow at Time Square, this theme remained at the core, igniting passion and driving delegates forward.
With each passing year, the Heart 4 the Wounded Conference has had the privilege of recognizing and honoring extraordinary individuals who have made a difference, both on national and international levels. Moreover, our commitment extended beyond recognition, as we actively supported various charities and non-profit organizations such as “save-our-rhino,” “Santa’s shoebox,” “Angels,” and our current beneficiary, “DEBRA.”
Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the 5th Heart 4 the Wounded conference persevered, refusing to be silenced. Today, we stand with great enthusiasm to unveil this year’s compelling topic: the multifaceted aspects of SKIN—pre-injury, during injury, and post-injury.
At the heart of Heart 4 the Wounded lies the power of networking and collaboration. We aim to bring together healthcare professionals, industry members, and organizations, fostering an environment of shared learning and skill development. Through this collective effort, we strive to embrace new knowledge and advance our understanding of the diverse dimensions surrounding wounds and healing.
As we embark on this year’s conference, let us forge connections, build bridges, and work hand in hand to make a difference. Together, we can illuminate the path towards a brighter future for those impacted by wounds, inspiring hope and healing in every step we take.
